Requirements:
Level 3 Early Childhood Education Diploma; or other 2year diploma in a related field
Valid Drivers License
Previous supervisory experience an asset
Satisfactory Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector Check is required upon hire
First Aid, CPR, WHIMIS, and Food Handlers certification, or willing to obtain
Previous Early Learning experience an asset
Patient, caring, loving, compassionate, and enjoys working with children
In-depth understanding of child growth and development
Knowledge of developing age appropriate and cultural programming
Ability to work as part of a team
Working Conditions:
Carrying weight approximately between 5 lbs - 40 lbs
Fast Paced environment with changes in duties depending on situation
Working with children, families, employees, community in person, by phone and/or email
Work a minimum of 37.5 hours a week, Mon- Fri with occasional times outside of regular hours
High level of social contact
Regularly work in a group or as part of a team.
Substantially responsible for the work outcomes of the AHS program
Responsible for the health and safety of children and employees
Preference given to applicants holding a B.Ed however we will consider recognized credentials in Early Childhood Development and some supervisory experience, if a suitable candidate is not found.
The successful applicant is required to pass a Criminal Records Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.
