Description

Lake Country Co-op invites applications for the position of Full Time Cake Decorator at our Food Store location in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.

Reporting to the Bakery Team Leader, responsibilities for this position include the following:
Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operatives vision, mission, values, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach
Design and decorate cakes according to customer orders and Lake Country Co-operative standards.
Arrange and display decorated cakes in an attractive manner, both in the display cases and on special occasions
Ensure to keep a clean and well-maintained department
Efficiently manage time to fulfill customer orders promptly while maintaining the quality of work
Maintain and display all types of bakery products according to department standards
Continually monitor code dates to ensure the freshest inventory on the shelf at all times; follow FIFO
Engage and interact with guests to create a positive shopping experience  in person and on the phone
Take cake orders and cake writing as required
Perform other duties as assigned

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and Customer Service:
You have previous experience as a cake decorator or in a related field; you have knowledge of various cake decorating techniques and trends
You have artistic ability and creative flair to design visually appealing cakes
You are honest and trustworthy, are results orientated, and are proud of the work that you do
You are well organized, capable of attaining a high level of production, with a minimum amount of supervision
You are familiar with Food Safe procedures and practices
Ability to lift and load products: extensive physical labour is required
