THIS IS A JOB POSTING FOR THE YORKTON MAULERS U18AAA HOCKEY CLUB BEING FACILITATED BY GRAIN MILLERS. DO NOT APPLY TO GRAIN MILLERS.
The Assistant Coach reports to the Head Coach and General Manager.
Essential Qualifications:
Development 1 certificate, Respect in Sport, and SHA Checking & Goaltending Clinic certifications.
Junior, collegiate, or professional playing experience preferred
Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
High emotional intelligence

Primary responsibilities
    Assist the Head Coach in the planning, preparation, organization and execution of all player activities and performance, including camp, team training, and competition.
    Jointly responsible for developing, maintaining, and continuously improving the culture of the organization by fostering a positive, respectful culture.
    Attend all AAA Teams Functions and parent/player information meetings.
    Assist in planning on-and off-ice activities.
    Assist in player evaluation and selection process.
    Participate in planning, implementing, and administering communication and pre-game preparation of the AAA Team.
    Support the head coach in post-game evaluation by reviewing both AAA Team and individual performance.
    Provide feedback to both the individual players and/or groups in the dressing room prior to and following games, practices and between periods.
    Support and implement decisions taken during the planning and evaluation sessions.
    Joint responsibility for the supervision of players at all times (they are together as an official group)
    Jointly manage relationships and liaise between stakeholders, including player parents, billet families, Hockey Operations staff, and Directors, as required.
    Promote the Kinsmen Maulers organization, including assisting with organization and supervision of player participation in promotional and marketing activities
