Description

This position my be located in either Saskatoon or Regina.

Position Overview:
As a member of the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency Senior Leadership team, the Director, Materials and Facilities Management is accountable for providing collaborative leadership and expertise in the development, implementation and evaluation of policies, procedures, programs and initiatives that support and advance the Agency's mission, values, policies and strategic direction.

The Director, Materials and Facilities Management partners and collaborates with executive leadership, Directors, Managers and external partners to lead the Agency's materials and facilities management function, fixed assets management, purchasing and procurement, space management, preventative maintenance programs and insurance management.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Commerce, Administration other area related to the functions required by this position would be desirable.
Masters degree is preferred.
A minimum of five years in a senior management role.

Skills/Attributes:

Significant experience in facilities and physical asset management including developing and implementing maintenance and asset management procedures.
Thorough knowledge of the principles, practices and methods of space management in a health care environment.
Significant experience in project management would be an asset (including infrastructure and capital renewal) and a working knowledge of the planning, organizing, and managing of resources to complete a specific project within a given timeframe and budget.
A minimum of five years experience in property and contract management with some experience in inventory management and / or purchasing and procurement.
