Description

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Board of Directors of Square One Community Inc, and in partnership with the Social Housing Advisory Committee, the PiT Count Coordinator is responsible for the coordination, implementation and follow up of a Point in Time Homelessness Count which is scheduled to take place October 1, 2024 n the community of Moose Jaw.  This temporary, part time contract position assists in developing the evidence of housing demands.  

Education and Experience
    Completion of post secondary education in the human services, community development, or related field preferred.
    Experience in group facilitation and leading project work is an asset.
    Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required.
    Proven ability to complete tasks on time and meet reporting deadlines
    Strong computer skills

Duties and Responsibilities:
    Oversee the 2024 PiT count project and provide regular reports to the Board of Directors and the Social Housing Advisory Committee.
    Review of standardized tools and process for collecting data
    Publicize the event and lead communication efforts related to the PiT count event.
    Recruit volunteers and coordinate schedules for the PiT event.
    Identify partner agency representatives and volunteers for team leads
    Identify partner agencies that provide housing or shelter to those identified as homeless.  Establish contact persons to provide data on the date of PiT event.
    Train volunteers and access outside resources as required.
    Apply standardized collection tools and assure the integrity of the data.
    Collate data and report findings to the Board of Directors.
    Provide a written report of activities
