Description

As the Director of Corporate Services, you will report to the City Manager and be accountable to City Council, the Director of Corporate Services is a statutory position as the City Clerk with duties set out under The Cities Act and identified in The City Administration Bylaw.  
As the Director of Corporate Services, is an integral part of the City's senior management team, providing strategic and operational leadership. The Director of Corporate Services is in continuous written and verbal communication with stakeholders, serving as a liaison with Council, council boards and committees, staff, and the public. This role requires strong interpersonal skills to ensure that Council, council boards and committees, and quasi-judicial boards have the required information to make decisions and ensures that those decisions are recorded.
The position is responsible for providing governance and legislative support to City Council, Committees, and Administration; preparing, maintaining, custody, and managing official city records; and administering municipal elections, Human Resources, Information Technology and the Fire Department.

The ideal candidate will have:
To qualify for this position, you will need a minimum of 5 years of local government management experience. You will need a degree, or diploma in related field. Additionally, you must have a valid Class 5 driver's license and a satisfactory criminal record check.  
Other expected qualifications include experience with computer-based systems such as Dayforce, Laserfiche, Microsoft 365.
