The PLWA Network is an Indigenous community-based, non-profit organization that provides care, support and education while promoting wellness to people affected by HIV/AIDS.
The Fundraising Coordinator seeks to engage community to achieve sustainable outcomes and deepen relationships and trust between funders and community organizations. The Fundraising Coordinator organizes and manages the various parts of a project to ensure its success. This includes assigning and monitoring statistics and communication as required by funders, as well as creating reports and updates for the Executive Director or Delegate.
Responsibilities:
Ensure that all aspects of a project are organized and in conformance with timeline and deliverables requirement
Coordinate statistical information and data collection with PLWA employees and funders.
Provide project reporting to funders
Media relations as needed
Research and write grants
Arranges and/or attends meetings with community partners, organizations and funders
Coordinates fundraising efforts
Other duties as required by the Executive Director or Delegate
Requirements:
Must have a reliable vehicle and valid class 5 drivers license
Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
Self-motivated.
Effectively work in both a team environment and independently
Very organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks.
Must demonstrate a high level of professionalism, integrity, and personal wellness.
Must be willing to work flexible hours
Submit a criminal record check.
Knowledge of substance use and its impact.
Cultural Awareness
Comfort working with target populations.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, zoom, Microsoft Teams
Knowledge of community services and agencies in Saskatoon
Knowledge of HIV is beneficial
