Description

As part of our Assembly team, a Power Distribution Assembler performs a variety of tasks which include core and clamp setup, core stacking and installing head steel, performing termination and ratio tests, assembling structures, completing termination of units and preparing unit for tanking.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
1. Performing assembly of parts and units which includes putting clamp together, core steel, and assembling coils on steel.  
2. Participate in core stacking process as per the drawings in the shop floor.
3. Install required components to move unit to termination area.
4. Prepare unit for termination and ratio testing and follow instructions (engineering drawings) to build the structure.
5. Complete termination of HV and LV units by preparing and brazing cables to lead, minor welding of parts, and wrapping lead to joints.
6. Perform pre-tanking processes by placing core and coil assembly into tank, preparing tank and lid, and tighten and clean the structure.
7. Performing other duties as allocated.

WHAT IT TAKES

Apply today if you meet the following requirements:
1. Grade 12 or equivalent.
2. 6+ months experience in manufacturing and/or related experience.
3. Experience with an Oxygen/Acetylene Torch or other welding processes is an asset.
4. Demonstrated experience working with a variety of hand tools.
5. Demonstrated ability to read and follow specs to assemble tanks.
6. Ability to troubleshoot problems and recommend solutions.
7. Ability work at sustained pace and produce quality work.
8. Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others.
9. Ability to lift items up to 50lbs unassisted.
10. Must be able to obtain and maintain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check for the duration of employment.
