Description

In this position as the Credit & Asset Manager Trainee, you will report to the Controller and be responsible for leading the overall management of the credit function and will be responsible for implementing strategies to mitigate credit risk for Southland Co-op.  Strategies in this department are focused on safeguarding our people, property and the Co-op brand.  In this leadership training role, you will be:
Responsible for providing an exceptional level of customer service and maintain a safe and efficient operation while adhering to all company, industry, and governmental policies, procedures, and standards, including meeting established productivity standards.
Responsible for learning the overall management of the credit function and will continue to implement strategies to mitigate credit risk for the organization.
Consistently reviewing, updating, and maintaining the credit policy and program to industry best practices, in consultation with team member requirements and program requests.
Learning to lead and supervise all credit clearances and establishes credit limits for our farm, commercial and individual members.
Responsible for reviewing credit policies and providing recommendations.
Responsible for the collections of delinquent accounts; overseeing credit correspondence, and preparing monthly analysis of accounts receivable and consulting with Controller on credit arrangements.
This position works across multiple areas of the organization based on changing business needs.
Travel will be required throughout the Southland Co-op area.
