Description

We are searching for experienced corporate lawyer to assist our company in structuring, reviewing and aggregating business proposals and contracts, and contract drafting. This position is being offered on a full-time basis, or a part-time basis, with the prospect of becoming full-time, and the successful candidate will be able to complete tasks at the office and at home. Your principal goal will be to guarantee that all transactions comply with applicable legislation and regulations, and mitigate legal risks, while advancing the interests of the company. Other duties will include consulting, drafting of contracts, and leading all corporate legal processes such as mergers, transactions, partnerships, and joint ventures. The successful candidate will have a strong desire to understand our business philosophies and strategies, and have outstanding negotiation and communication skills, with sharp attention to detail.

Duties:

- Draft, review, and negotiate corporate agreements and contracts
- Provide legal counsel on corporate governance issues
- Advise on mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Handle intellectual property matters, including trademarks registrations

Requirements:

- Degree from an accredited law school, Canadian or foreign
- Admission to Law association would be an asset
- Proven experience working as a Corporate Lawyer or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of contract drafting and M&A
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to travel as needed
