Description

Are you new to HR and wanting some experience?  Prairie Meats LP is looking to fill a term Human Resources (HR) Coordinator position to support the day to day HR operations. The anticipated length of the term could be up to 12 months depending upon the duration of the maternity leave.
With guidance from the HR Manager, you will be actively involved in employee relations, dispute resolution, talent acquisition, work force planning, on boarding, performance management, and payroll and benefit administration. Handling full cycle recruitment, data input, file maintenance, payroll services and answering questions from our team leaders and team members will be part of your daily priorities. Our company and our team is very diverse and spread out through multiple locations so there will be a learning curve; however, for the right person, this can translate to a very rewarding career experience. Not only can you put your skills and knowledge to practice, you we have the advantage of receiving support and mentorship from an experienced management team. To be successful in this position, you must have strong written skills, excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, ability to work as part of a team, attention to detail, and able to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive issues and information. You must be able to adapt to a changing work environment as the company adapts its business model to meet our changing market. The safety of our team is one of our highest priorities so following and practicing health and safety rules and regulations is essential. Possessing excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines is necessary. Being a graduate from post secondary education, having focused on HR, business, psychology or a related discipline or have equivalent experience would be a definite asset. Knowledge of employment legislation and HR practices is a must.
