Lands Branch, Ministry of Agriculture, is seeking a confident, motivated individual to provide program coordination, correspondence, and research and analytical skills in the Consultation and Engagement Unit of Lands Branch.
The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for the administration of Treaty Land Entitlement and Specific Claims selections, the Duty to Consult and provide correspondence, research, analysis and policy and program recommendations. This position works with provincial, municipal, and Aboriginal governments, stakeholders, resource users like Crown land users, other residents, business developers, lawyers, co-operatives and other organizations to address issues and concerns as well as capture new opportunities.
The candidate of choice will bring strong analytical and research skills for developing solutions and policies. You will have strong communication skills to deal with various stakeholders and provide correspondence support. Knowledge of Treaty Land Entitlement and Duty to Consult as well as government structures, legislation and policy processes would be an asset.
The skills required for this position would typically be obtained through the completion of an undergraduate degree in Arts or an equivalent combination of education and experience in government processes.
