Description

The Saskatchewan Ministry of Agricultures Policy Branch is seeking a highly-motivated, results-oriented individual to join its management team as Executive Coordinator.

In this role, you will provide leadership to a team of administrative professionals to coordinate administrative service delivery, as well as support the Executive Director of the Policy Branch. You will plan, schedule, and organize meetings and other events, including the coordination of travel and event logistics. You will use strong computer skills to type, format, and proofread a variety of sensitive and confidential documents such as general correspondence, briefing materials, Cabinet Items, reports, tables, graphs and presentation materials. You will also use the ARMS system to maintain filing and archiving.

The successful candidate must have good organization skills to track, coordinate and process correspondence, and ensure responses are completed in a timely manner. Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required to resolve issues on a daily basis. You will also be responsible to provide leadership and advice to other staff within the branch and ministry on government processes and standards. You will be a team player with the ability to both lead and collaborate on projects, with a reputation for integrity and a focus on service excellence and innovation in your work.

Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position would be obtained through formal education and experience in a senior administrative position.
