The Town of Bredenbury is accepting resumes for the position of Public Works Position.

Bredenbury is a small, friendly community we offer health & dental benefits, life insurance benefits, disability benefits, MEPP pension plan, phone allowance, clothing allowance.

Wage is based on public works pay scale that can be provided to applicant. The more experience and certifications you have the more your starting wage is. Overtime is paid on over 8 hours a day. Weekend water testing is paid on overtime hours.

The applicant must have a valid driver's license with Class 3A or willing to obtain, and have a Grade 12(or equivalent).

Preference will be given to candidate that possesses Class 1 Water Treatment & Distribution and Class 1 Waste Water. If they do not possess this certification they must be willing to obtain certifications as soon as possible.

Preference will be given to individuals with current certifications in: WHIMIS, Confined Space, Ground Disturbance, First Aid, Power Mobile Equipment, Pesticide Application.

Preference will be given to individuals with heavy duty equipment experience. Equipment included: Grader, Skidsteer, mowers, Gravel Truck, Backhoe/Loader.

This position requires an individual who is self motivated, can work independently, can take direction well, and who is willing to work occasionally after hours if an emergency situation arises. Emergency situations include but are not limited to: flooding, water breaks, lift station problems, snow removal.

The duties include but are not limited to: snow removal, grading, cutting grass, cutting trees, daily water testing, daily wastewater testing, and equipment maintenance.
