Description

Post sentence worker supports at the post-sentence stage to assist individuals in successfully completing the recommendations/healing plans included in their Post Sentence/Gladue reports.
The Post Sentence Support Worker will also directly support offenders in meeting the terms of their sentence as well as support them in addressing root causes of their offending and reduce their risk of reoffending.
The Post Sentence Support Worker is responsible for:
-Initiate Post Sentence programming for Adults and Youth
-Screening, Intake, Assessment, referrals to other agencies, and or services (if applicable), and follow up.
-Create partnerships with other Community Resources/Agencies.
-Increase Community awareness of BTC Justice programs and services;
-Offer culturally appropriate Post Sentence related services, support and education.
-Support clients to successfully complete and implement the recommendations/Plans included in their Post Sentence/Gladue reports.
-Support individuals in reintegration into the community.
-Support clients, families and Community members with healing supports in circumstances where the Post Sentence/Gladue report writing brings up past trauma.
-Assistance with obtaining proof of identity.
-Complete Monthly reports.
-Attend Monthly meetings.
-Data entry for clients.
-All duties assigned by the Justice Coordinator and or Executive
Director.

-Innovative/ self starter

-Problem solver
-Strong written and verbal communication skills
-able to work independently.
-time management skills
-must have a valid Drivers License
-undergo and pass a CPIC
