Description

The Role
Camecos Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) department in Saskatoon is looking for an enthusiastic team player and critical thinker to join the compliance and licensing team as we assist Camecos efforts in energizing a clean air world.

In this role, you will:
-Coordinate the consistent delivery of required training for Emergency Response Team (ERT) members including training for industrial fire brigades, wildland firefighting, and mine rescue.
-Establish, advance, and maintain processes to support standardized processes with respect to the fire protection, emergency response, and mine rescue programs in the mining division.
-Provide oversight and coordination of the required 3rd party assessments for fire protection, ERT, and MRT in the mining division.
-Coordinate the standardization of mine rescue processes and training to ensure success in the certification of mine rescue team members, competition teams, and compliance to internal and external requirements.
-Develop and maintain training and procedures for the Emergency Response, Mine Rescue, and Fire Protection programs.

Required:  
-Technical Rescue Certification (NFPA 1006)
-Hazardous Materials Certification (NFPA 1072)
-Industrial Firefighting Certifications (NFPA 1081)
-Medical First Responder Certificate
-8 years of extensive knowledge of fire protection, industrial firefighting, mine rescue, and wildland firefighting.
-Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered.

Recommended:
-Ability to work well with others, strong communication & coordination skills, organizational skills, report writing. Strong ability to build relationships and lead through influence.
-Fire Service Instructor Certification (NFPA 1041)
-Mine Rescue Certificate
