Description

The Role
Camecos business technology services (BTS) department provides vital services to world-wide operations utilizing a variety of technologies to support key operations. We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working team-player to join the Business Intelligence team to administer and support the operational data needs of the mining division. This is a great opportunity to develop skills in a high demand technology, as well as to interact with the business and understand their needs to provide innovative solutions using data modelling and content development.

In this role, you will:
-Work within a team of technical experts to understand the data requirements and optimise their use for the mining and milling operations.
-Improving business processes and driving innovation using business intelligence software
-Be responsible for developing creative dashboards, front-end visualizations and data modelling that will provide decision support capabilities to the operations
-Be part of an exciting digital transformation journey, as Cameco matures from descriptive to more predictive and prescriptive data analytics.
-Have a growth opportunity with potential to progress your career in the field of data and analytics

Required:  
-Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, data science, statistics, operations research, economics, or mathematics
-Three years of applicable work experience
-Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
-Strong knowledge of data visualization best practices and techniques
-Experience with data curation, report creation, key performance indicator (KPI) development and statistical analysis
-Analytical skills, including strong SQL query knowledge
-Self starter and ability to understand business need and execute work independently
-Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
