Out of Scope, Permanent, Full-time (Monday to Friday)

Location: Regina or Saskatoon (Hybrid work arrangements maybe considered)

Were currently seeking multiple legal professionals to join our team in the following roles:

Senior Counsel - General Accountability

Pay Range: $119,744 - $159,666

A moderate-to high-level legal position with excess of 10 years call to the bar. Provides legal opinions and conducts litigation for cases of moderate to significant complexity for SGI CANADA at all levels of the court. Provides advice and guidance to junior lawyers.



Counsel - General Accountability

Pay Range: $106,914 - $142,560


A medium-level legal position with 4 to 10 years call to the bar. Provides legal opinions and conducts litigation for cases of moderate complexity for SGI CANADA at all levels of the court.



The above roles require the candidate to have a law degree and to be called or eligible to be called to the bar in Saskatchewan. The candidate also requires:

- Knowledge of substantive and procedural laws.
- Knowledge of the Insurance Act and related legislation and
  regulations in the applicable jurisdiction.
- Knowledge of insurance claims litigation.
- Knowledge of the rules and responsibilities surrounding legal ethics.
- Knowledge of insurance practices and, in particular, the legal
  aspects which impact on the corporations lines of business.
- Knowledge of the practices and procedures of all levels of courts.
- Ability to critically analyses complex multi-dimensional litigation
  across a broad range of legal issues.
- Ability to coordinate, prepare and advocate complex matters or legal
  principles.
