Position Summary:
The Administrative Assistant position will provide administrative support within the money management program in accordance with contract obligations, policies and procedures, The Salvation Army's mission and values and standards both locally and provincially.
Accountabilities:
Provides receptionist duties for work locaiton
May draft and type correspondence or generate reports (eg letters dealing with administrative issues, acknowledgements, minutes) and responds to difficult enquiries on behalf of the supervisor.
Files documents electronically or manually;  photocopies and distributes materials as requested; and sends and receives fax/email as requested; resolves routine enquiries.
Handles and ensures the protection of extremely confidential and sensitive files.
Opens and distributes mail and processes out-going mail including materials of a confidential nature; receives parcels and distributes to the appropriate person(s).
