Description

Job Purpose:
The Outreach Counsellor plays a critical role in providing compassionate support and guidance to individuals and communities in need. This position focuses on reaching out to diverse populations, offering counselling services, and facilitating access to resources that promote mental health and safe well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
1.    Counselling and Support Services:
2.    Outreach and Community Engagement:
3.    Case Management and Referrals:
4.    Advocacy and Education:
5.    Intervention Management and Intensive Care Plan Follow-Up

Qualifications:
Bachelors/Masters degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field required.
Licensure or certification as a counselor (e.g., LPC, LMHC) preferred.
Proven experience in counseling and crisis intervention, particularly in outreach or community-based settings.
Strong knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and trauma-informed care principles.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build trusting relationships with clients.
