Description

Job Purpose:
The Family Support Coordinator plays a key role in coordinating the comprehensive support services to at-risk families facing challenges or crises.
This position requires leading a team to assess family needs, coordinate and deliver services, and empower families to access resources, build skills and resilience to sustain a healthy, safe and thriving environment for the family unit.

Key Responsibilities:
1.Family/Safety Needs Assessments
2.Resource Coordination and Referrals
3.Case Management and Advocacy
4.Education and Empowerment (Team & Client)
5.Crisis Intervention and Support
6.Documentation and Reporting

Qualifications:
* Post secondary education in areas of Human Service Field, Psychology, Counseling, related field required
A combination of proven experience in family support, case management, or social services
Strong knowledge of community resources, social service systems, and advocacy principles
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with families from diverse backgrounds.

Cultural competence and sensitivity to work with diverse populations and address cultural barriers in service delivery

Working Conditions:
This position may require flexibility in scheduling, including evening or weekend hours to accommodate family needs
