KRN RESIDENTIAL DESIGN is seeking a Junior and/or intermediate Architectural Design Technologist to join our team. As a successful candidate, you should be energetic, and have the ability to work both independently and in a team environment, on both residential and light commercial projects.

Position start date:  Immediately

Responsibilities:
Meet with clients, to discuss project needs and requirements
Prepare conceptual and preliminary plan presentations
Preparing construction drawings documents for single family and multifamily homes
Preparing contract documents for light commercial projects
Liaising with sub consultants
Working with production teams
Writing specifications
Assisting with and/or managing contract administration services


Qualifications:
Architectural graduate from a recognized Architectural Technologists Program;
Experience as a technologist in an architectural and/or residential design firm.
Have a thorough understanding of the current National Building Code of Canada, with emphasis on both Part 3 and Part 9.
Extensive knowledge in the production of working drawings for residential type projects, and smaller commercial projects.
Speed, accuracy and proficiency in Microsoft Office software, AutoCAD and following office CADD Standards. Experience with other software such as Autodesk Revit, Photoshop, Sketchup, etc. are all additional assist.
Excellent oral and written communication skills;
Able to coordinate with sub-consultants and adopt a leadership role on small to medium sized projects;
Extremely well organized with good interpersonal skills.
