Suncrest College welcomes applications for the position of Student Engagement Coordinator. This is a part-time, term position, for 21 hours per week starting as soon as possible to March 29, 2025, in Tisdale, SK.

The Opportunity:
The Student Engagement Coordinator is responsible to coordinate and facilitate the delivery of a regional-wide student engagement strategy focused on reconciliation, wellness, and retention. The Student Engagement Coordinator works in consultation with many staff and external partners, including Indigenous Elders and Knowledge Keepers, Learner Services, AE, and PSE teams, as well as other college and community committees. Key to this position is fulfilling the obligations of grant funders who are financially supporting specific Indigenous engagement and student mental health and wellbeing activities.

Requirements:
-A two-year diploma with a high level of cultural sensitivity and knowledge of the Colleges Indigenous communities and understanding of associated traditions. Alternatively, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
-Minimum of two years of demonstrated coordination experience and/or minimum of two years of experience working with Indigenous communities.
-This position is designated for qualified equity group members who self-declare as Indigenous (First Nations, Metis, Inuit).
Demonstrated experience working in a cross-cultural environment.
