Description

This position travels to and from remote northern site locations, such as exploration camps.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide transportation services of materials & employees to and from sites, as well as drop off locations. Must always be done in a safe, timely, and attentive matter.
- Be aware of potential and unexpected hazards on the road and be able to respond accordingly.
- Help with Hotel & Airport shuttling, and other Head Office-related courier type duties.
- Meet required deadlines, despite traffic, road conditions, and route changes.
- Provide general care and maintenance to vehicles, including cleaning & fueling. Oversee service schedules, records, & warranty appointments. Report any damage or deficiencies of vehicles and equipment to the supervisor.
- Pack/unload products and equipment properly within the vehicle.
- Report all incidents, damages, concerns, or loss of products/property to the supervisor.
- Move vehicles to storage as required.
- Shop for grocery items and distribute them to camps as needed.
- Maintain warehouse inventory.
- Assure customer satisfaction and maintain interactions.
- Follow sanitation & safety protocols when handling food & equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Must have a valid Class 5 Drivers License, with an acceptable driving abstract.
- Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test.
- An aptitude in basic vehicle maintenance & mechanics; capable of doing minor repairs (ex. Trouble shoot problems, change a flat tire or wiper blade)
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve & work independently.
- Physically fit and able bodied; be able to safely lift at least 25 pounds independently.
- Able to follow instructions, as well as company policies & procedures, with care and attention.
- Ability to collect, organize, & supply documents (ex. receive invoices, document expense receipts, & provide them to the office).
