Description

We currently have a position for a door and architectural hardware installer.  Experience is preferred, but willing to train the right candidate for the job. Basic carpentry skills, including but not limited to reading a tape measure, using a drill, etc. are a must.  Construction and/or customer service experience are a definite asset.
The successful applicant will be required to work with little to no supervision for extended periods of time.  A valid drivers license accompanied by a driver's license abstract and a criminal record check are required to be considered for this position.
This job is ideally suited for a hard-working motivated individual, that works safely at a fast pace, yet is diligent enough not to overlook details.   At Prestige Lock & Door we value safety and quality above all else.
Duties include
    Install, repair, rebuild, adjust, and service mechanical or electrical locking devices.
    Change and repair lock combinations through the use of tumblers.
    Cut duplicate or new keys from existing keys, patterns, or codes.
    Complete service paperwork and maintain confidential client records.
    Replace worn tumblers, springs, and other parts as necessary.
    Fabricate lock parts.
    Disassemble a variety of locking units.
    Provide consultation and assist customers in problems with locking mechanisms.

    Installation of all types of door hardware
    Company vehicle may be supplied during work hours
    This position requires some outside work outside in various weather conditions.
