Description

This position provides an opportunity for a skilled project co-ordinator to lead projects for the Canadian Bison Association which is a not-for-profit organization that provides services to approximately 500 members across Canada. The responsibilities also include project administration for the Saskatchewan Bison Association. The project co-ordinator works with two other people in an office located in Regina Saskatchewan.  


Major Responsibilities
    Event Planning and implementation for both Canadian (CBA) and Saskatchewan Bison Associations (SBA)
    Support to CBA and SBA show, sale, convention, and field day committees.
    Working with host hotel, identifying awards, name badges, sponsorship's
    Support show and sale in conjunction with Agribition by supporting consignors
    Assisting with trade booths and events
    Coordinating industry magazine Smoke Signals with the publisher
    Updating websites for CBA and SBA
    Supporting Board members of the CBA and SBA
    Supporting a bison registry program
    Keeping Board and committee meeting minutes as required
    Cross training with Office Administrator to cover absences including bookkeeping.


Requirements
    Event planning experience
    Knowledge in bookkeeping, budgeting, and QuickBooks
    Knowledge of not-for profits
    Knowledge of Publisher
    Knowledge of Outlook and Microsoft office
    Time Management & Organization
    Communication/Social media
    Knowledge of agriculture is beneficial
