Description

The Ministry of Social Services, Community Living Service Delivery (CLSD) Branch is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Physical Therapist to join the Clinical Prevention Services Team in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities to live their lives to the fullest and participate as valued citizens in their communities.

This is an exciting opportunity to provide physical therapy services to individuals who experience a wide range of physical conditions. Services are provided at the Edie Montgrand Centre in Moose Jaw, as well as, through provincial outreach to clients in their home or community environments. As a leader within the team, you will have opportunities to influence and shape the program design and service delivery model to support best practices in the field of physical therapy.

As a team member, you will reflect the values of the program, respecting the diversity of others and promoting a healthy, productive and safe work environment that is free of discrimination.

To be successful in the role you must have:

- License by the Saskatchewan College of Physical Therapists;
- Eligible for membership with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association'
- The ability to guide and coach a diverse group of support providers in implementing rehabilitation interventions effectively and efficiently;
- The ability to communicate and collaborate effectively throughout all work relationships and/or partnerships with a diverse range of colleagues and clients; and
- The ability to recognize and take action to minimize potential risks to the safety of clients, self and others.
Experience in the areas of cardio/respiratory and/or aquatic based therapy would be considered an asset.

This role may require travel and a flexible schedule for the purpose of program service delivery.
