This is a seasonal position dictated by weather, Foreman and Council.
Seasonal Operator is directly responsible to the Foreman.
To be a working operator and team player.
Must possess a valid driverss license.
Have knowledge of equipment operation and service.
Have a full working knowledge of mowing technique.
Must be capable of working with a minimum or without supervision.
Equipment repairs and maintenance as per manufacturer specifications.
Assist with welding, fabricating and repairing RM assets
Operating trucks and trailers (valid class 5 driverss license minimum)
Operation, tractor load and various equipment attachments (PME required)
Grass seeding/harrowing
Mowing and weed whipping
Utility personnel are directly responsible to the Foreman.
Work hours as per direction by the Foreman.
To perform work such as, mowing, fencing, rock picking, cleaning shop, maintenance or other duties as assigned by the foreman.
Clean out and cut damaged culvert ends and report to the Foreman.
Keep machines clean inside and out.
Make sure equipment is in safe working order (walk around check).
Ensure shop and shop yard is clean.
Address fellow employees and council in a respectful manner.
Be willing to follow direction.
Employees are expected to address all ratepayers with respect.
Keep detailed time sheets, log books and maps as requested.
Work hours as per schedule.
Shop hours are limited to 8 hours a day.
Road maintenance personnel may be required to work 10 hour days.
Holidays are paid out monthly.
Cell phones are to be left on during work hours.
