Brandt Group of Companies is currently seeking an Engineering Team Lead for our Regina, SK location.

The Engineer Team Leads serve as the business and technical heads of the engineering platforms.  Through the successful management of a group of engineers, technologists and designers, the platform leads will deliver high quality designs within budget and schedule.  This is a leadership position that involves management, design, project planning, estimating; a certain level of customer relations and interfacing with the rest of the company.  A successful candidate will own the engineering and product development of that particular platform.  A truly successful candidate will have expertise in the particular field of the platform.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Direct the telematics portion of product design and development at initial design phase including:
- Design concept
- Regulatory compliance
- Testing methodology.
- Direct and guide standardized approach to Design of assigned new products focusing on Performance of product, Design for Manufacturability, Serviceability, Reliability, Affordability, etc.
- Work within design teams on assigned products from concept through prototype testing to ensure design meets scope and development targets.
- Ensure appropriate and disciplined approach to design activity is followed.
- Field research as required.  Business travel will be an occasional requirement.
- Teach and mentor design engineers and technologists and recommend skills training and process improvement where necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
