Description

Hillsvale Colony is a farming community located outside of Cut Knife, Sk where people live and work together.  This way of life has allowed them to maintain their culture, religion, language and customs.  Hillsvale Colony School offers kindergarten to grade 9 programming and encourages students to help and learn from one another.  The close knit community is very supportive of the school and offers a unique multi-grade opportunity for staff to really focus on the needs of each student and build genuine relationships with them as they move through their school experience.

This posting is for a Permanent Full-Time Educational Assistant Position at Hillsvale Colony School, commencing August 26th, 2024.  Hours of work are 6 hours per day, Monday to Friday.  Educational Assistants are an important part of the school team and promote engagement, participation and success of students.  The successful applicant will support core subject areas in both small groups and in the classroom. Basic knowledge of Grade 5-9 math concepts and the ability to independently facilitate teacher-planned lessons/activities is an asset.

Qualifications

Minimum Grade 12 education with at least one (1) year relevant childcare experience
Post-secondary certificate from a recognized institution in Early Learning & Childcare, Youth Care Worker or equivalent program would be considered an asset
