Facility: Saskatoon City Hospital
Job Description: Saskatchewan Health Authority Occupational Health and Safety Services is looking for casual RNs to work as Influenza Peer Immunizers during the 2024-2025 Annual Influenza campaign.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Registered or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
Valid Class 5 driver's license
Experience
Must have recent experience in employee health - Must have recent experience in administration of immunizations and tuberculin skin tests - Must have recent experience in ordering and interpreting occupational related serological testing - Must have recent experience in portacount quantitative respirator fit testing.
Registered Nurse completed certification in peer nurse immunization for influenza will be provided.  Assignment of immunization will be within the Saskatoon city limits at multiple acute care sites.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to communicate with and maintain an effective working relationship with employees
Ability to function independently within established parameters
Ability to travel both within the region and provincially
Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Computer skills in such programs as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
Effective and consistent application of the nursing process
Excellent communication skills: verbal and written, including sensitivity and neutrality
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Knowledge of Saskatchewan Employment Act (SEA)
Knowledge of the Canadian Immunization Guide (CIG)
