Job Description: Provides coordination and administrative services for a department(s) and/or program(s). This position typically reports to a Provincial Leader, Site Manager or Program Manager but may provide administrative support to physicians and other health professionals as required.
Required Qualifications
Grade 12
Office Education/Secretarial certificate plus completion of a Medical Terminology course (OR) Medical Office Assistant certificate
Experience
One (1) year previous experience in an office environment
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to conduct literature searches for specified information.
Ability to interpret detailed information and communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in various stages of completion according to priorities
Ability to operate all types of office equipment.
Ability to work independently
Competent in the use of computers and Microsoft applications
Creative ability in developing layouts for reports, presentations, information bulletins, etc.
Human relations skills required to empathize with complaints and/or concerns and establish rapport with patients, the public and other staff.
Maintain confidentiality.
Some Judgment and problem solving skills are required to select the most appropriate action from a limited number of alternatives.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload

108.78 hours per 3 week rotation: 14 shifts of 7.77 hours
