Location: Regina, SK

What is the Opportunity

Reporting to the Vice-President, Commercial Mortgages, you will be part of a team that manages an investment portfolio of approximately $5 billion. Specifically, you will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks that involve collection, analysis, development and maintenance of market and portfolio data. You will work closely with internal and external parties to optimize processes and efficiencies, while supporting the team with the development of new tools. The ideal candidate will possess both investment and analytical skills with the ability to confidently work as a team member in a fast-paced office environment.


What you will do

Identify, develop and maintain tools and reports required for efficient portfolio management;
Work efficiently with internal and external stakeholders (originators, administrators, IT team, Client Servicing and Data teams);
Adhere to internal procedures and ensure the accuracy of data;
Assist in the identification and measurement of risks associated with commercial mortgage lending;
Maintain and analyze key internal and market data, which supports overall portfolio management.

What you will need to succeed

Experience and Knowledge

University degree in Finance, Mathematics, Data Science or related discipline,  or an equivalent combination of education and work experience;
Knowledge of risk management, fixed income and Finance in general;
Experience working with databases (SQL), programming (VBA, Matlab, Python) and    knowledge of business intelligence tools (Power BI);
An interest in pursuing the CFA and/or the FRM certification.

Skills and Abilities

Self-starter that shows initiative;
The ability to work independently and as a team player;
Effective analytical and problem-solving skills;
Time-management skills with an ability to prioritize and multi-task;
A high level of attention to detail and accountability;
Fluency in French would be an asset.
