RAM Industries Inc. (www.ramindustries.com) is a leading North American manufacturer of hydraulic cylinders and machined components. We are an established manufacturing company seeking a full-time journeyperson or equivalent machinist. This job opportunity is located in Yorkton, Saskatchewan.
Education: completion of a four-year apprenticeship program (Red Seal) is preferred; however, a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some college or industry courses in machining will be considered.
Experience: The successful candidate will have 5+ years experience operating CNC machines such as lathes and milling machines in a heavy manufacturing environment.
Duties:
Set up and prove out CNC Programs on a variety of CNC Machines
Carry out 100% inspection of completed components
Deburr all completed components
Detect and correct programs or machining malfunctions
Read blueprints, drawings and engineering information
Operate and perform to production standards
Scanning in work stations to keep track of work orders
Continual improvement of machining process
Maintain a clean organized work space following lean methodology
Skills:
Valid Saskatchewan or interprovincial journeyperson machinist certificate (Preferred)
Demonstrate knowledge of using instruments such as micrometers internal/external, thread micrometer, comparators, and calipers
Excellent knowledge CNC machining and current tooling technologies
Effective communication and strong problem-solving skills
Flexible, energetic, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to work in Canada
