The Saskatchewan Liquor & Gaming Authority is seeking an experienced, innovative, and self-motivated permanent full-time Network Architect to join its dynamic Information Technology Branch. The Network Architect is responsible for architecting, implementing, securing, and maintaining SLGAs networks, which includes computers, cloud-based technologies and connections, security devices and firewalls. The duties include working on network devices to set policies, administer networks, secure, and protect data, hardware, and software. This position is responsible for strategic planning, network architecture, staffing levels, mentorship, and training of network analysts.
This position is also responsible for identifying all strategic priorities related to network infrastructure and will contribute area expertise to large scale strategic initiatives. They will evaluate new and existing architecture and design or make changes as applicable.
The Network Architect works with IT staff and system users across various levels of a company and must have extensive knowledge of technology infrastructure and networking products to be successful. The Network Architect also works with other architects, network analysts, IT teams, project team, and is responsible for the transition of network items to operations.
