Description

We are looking for summer students to join our team at the Lake Lenore Coop Agro for the summer of 2024. The successful applicants will support the Agro team to drive growth, trust, and success with our farm customers.

Key responsibilities include:
Come to work with a positive, professional approach and attitude;
Be dependable for all scheduled shifts
Understand and align with Lake Lenore Co-ops brand standards and values of integrity, dependability, and customer service;
Warehouse maintenance and inventory quality control;
Loading and delivering chemical orders for farm customers; loading fertilizer to trucks
Operate forklift and skid steer;
Build relationships with farm customers and Lake Lenore Agro staff;
Support the agronomy team with in season crop scouting;
Assist with any tasks around the yard and maintain field plot trials;
Adhere to Lake Lenore Co-ops Health and Safety Program and all Lake Lenore Co-ops policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
Post-secondary schooling in Agriculture is preferred, with agronomic competence as an asset
Must be able to achieve warehousing license i.e. WHIMS and TDG;
Ability to work outdoors for extended periods of time;
Ability to do some manual labor and ability to lift 50lbs unassisted;
Dependable, motivated and safety conscious;
Valid class 5 drivers license;
