We are seeking an Electrical Controls Specialist to join our engineering group. You will work closely with the R&D department, assembling and testing new products and providing technical support and feedback. You will also be the technical support expert as new products are introduced to the market.
What you will be working on:
-Become the product expert on our air seeder operating software.
-Support the engineering department by prototyping and evaluating
electronic controls for our air seeding systems.
-Support the service department by troubleshooting electrical/software
issues on released products.
-Work with key vendors to design electrical harnesses and source
hardware.
-Operate prototype equipment in field and evaluate performance of
control systems.
-Investigate and diagnose faults or malfunctions of electrical
systems.
-Test software updates and provide technical support/feedback.
-Ensure that electrical designs are safe, efficient, effective, and
able to be cost effectively manufactured.
-Repair and replace equipment, components, or systems on prototypes.
-Assist the engineering team as required.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
-Engineering degree or technologist/technician diploma from a
recognized University or technical institute preferred.
-Experience with Precision Ag technology and GPS systems.
-Strong understanding of CAN bus & ISOBUS systems.
-Proficiency in electrical systems and/or software design.
-Experience troubleshooting electrical systems and identifying
software bugs.
