The Intake Investigator Supervisor is responsible to oversee the staff that respond to all allegations of maltreatment of children, with the aid of the SDM. This position collaborates with the Program Managers and Child and Family Services Workers. The Supervisor will report and co-ordinate an investigative approach with the proper authorities. The Intake Investigator Supervisor will oversee and sign off the investigations for the protection of the child(ren). The unit must observe in person interviews conducted by the police and appropriately ascertaining the facts which may result in placing the child(ren) in a place of safety. This position performs intake processes and accurately records documentation requirements according to Touchwood Child and Family Services Inc. policies, procedures, and protocols as well the Provincial Child Abuse Protocol. Other duties may include preparing court documents and attending court proceedings.
