Description

Vendasta is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its fast-paced and ever-growing Finance team!

Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under IFRS
Prepare management reports including variance analysis and trending reports
Reconcile and maintain general ledger accounts and year-end working papers
Review invoice/expense reports and produce reports for payment processing
Assist with preparation of any external audits or independent reviews being conducted and liaise with external auditors
Prepare compliance documents, government claims and schedules for external stakeholders
Liaise with members of finance team to improve financial procedures and streamline processes
Assist with improvements to internal controls

Qualifications:  
As the Senior Accountant, you will bring to the table a Bachelors degree in Accounting or a related fieldCPA designation considered an asset, with 2+ years of experience in professional accounting. Note that previous tech experience is considered an asset! In addition you will have a demonstrated ability to work both independently and cross-functionally in an autonomous work environment, strong attention to detail, and time management skills in a dynamic and changing environment.
