Description

Position Overview
As the Inventory Control Supervisor you will be accountable for and ensure that inventory management, material handling, quality inspection and storage activities are performed in a timely and cost-effective manner. You will provide leadership, training, and supervision to your growing team of Material Handlers.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement inventory management, quality inspections, material handling, receiving and storage procedures in consultation with appropriate personnel
- Monitor procedures and policies to ensure they meet specific needs
Conduct performance appraisals and career development of staff
- Direct inventory management, quality inspection, material handling and storage team members in the performance of their duties
- You will supervise, mentor, and engage with your team to increase engagement, retention, and efficiency amongst your team. This includes providing insight on recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management.
- Ensure that team members are appropriately trained and have the necessary direction and/or freedom to carry out their duties

Qualifications
- Grade 12 education or equivalent
- 5+ years in a supervisory position with a background in inventory management
- 5+ years of experience with inventory management, quality inspections, receiving and storage procedures
- Strong leadership experience, excellent communication skills, and demonstrated ability to successfully plan and organize workloads
- Experience with SAP is considered an asset
- Ability to collaborate with a variety of leaders, managers, and stakeholders while advocating for the needs of the team
- Ability to meet the requirements outlined in the Canadian Controlled Goods Program
- Ability to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level
