Working in Canada:

Job Duties:
Prepare a full line of authentic Indian specialty foods (appetizers, tandoori meats, breads and full selection of curries)
Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
Prepare, season and cook food as directed, meeting dietary requirements where required
Follow recipes and presentation specifications
Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
Oversee kitchen operations
Maintain inventory and record of food, supplies and equipment
Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
Requirements:
Must have thorough understanding of Indian Tandoor / Curry Food preparation
Must have knowledge of food and catering trends, quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation required.
Must be physically able to lift up to 50lb and transfer heavy, hot items and stand for majority of shift
Proficiency in a Hindi and Punjabi language is considered an asset
