Description

This position is responsible for production welding, prototype building, service & repair welding, and fitter welding. Duties include:
- fabrication of custom components from supplied drawings
- fabrication of custom jigs & fixtures to produce production parts, as well as fabrication of metal structures using jigs and fixtures
- read, interpret, & review blueprints or welding process specifications
- operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments & manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
- Maintain safe work practices.

REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma
- Welding certificate from a recognized training facility and Journeyman certification OR 4 to 5 years full-time welding experience
- Ability to satisfactorily meet the requirements of an in-house weld test
- Ability to work independently in a busy environment
- Experience with routine maintenance operations
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Able to work well under pressure
- Strong attention to detail
- Interacts with co-workers in a sensitive, tactful, diplomatic, and professionally manner at all times.
