Description

Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools is Saskatchewans largest Catholic school division, serving over 19,500 students from pre-kindergarten through Grade 12 in Saskatoon, Biggar, Humboldt, Warman and Martensville. We are pleased to serve a student population of over 3,500 Indigenous students and are committed to a robust response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commissions Calls to Action. We proudly partner with First Nations, Metis and Inuit families and communities. Together, we have developed a variety of programs to foster Indigenous student belonging, participation and success.

Applications for full-time, continuing teaching opportunities are invited from Indigenous candidates, with duties commencing at the start of the 2021-2022 school year.

Individuals applying for these roles should possess the following:
- Professional A Teacher's Certificate
- Knowledge and experience applying best practices in the areas of instruction, curriculum, environment and assessment
- Commitment to the ideals and principles of Catholic Education
- Knowledge of First Nations and Metis languages, histories and cultures
- Association with First Nations and Metis communities, kinship and organizations
- Demonstrated ability to work within a strong team philosophy as well as independently
- Preference will be extended to graduates of ITEP, SUNTEP, First Nations University of Canada and other Indigenous teacher education programs
