This position is PART TIME and would require the successful candidate to work approximately 2-3 days/week. This may vary each week with the potential of more hours some weeks. Our office hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00-5:30 and the successful candidate must be available to work full day shifts.
Key Accountabilities:
As the primary point of contact for our patients, the receptionist/optometric assistant is responsible for providing exemplary customer service. This individual will be professional and efficient in completing a wide variety of reception and administrative tasks.
Major Activities Include:
- Ensure smooth flow of reception operations
- Pleasantly greet patients
- Answer telephones professionally: responding to routine inquiries, book appointments, direct calls and obtain messages
- Conduct pretesting duties
- Actively collaborate with government agencies, specialists, suppliers etc.
- Process Financial transactions
- Prepare letters and other documentation
- Manage and maintain patient database
Requirements:
Education:
- Completion of grade twelve or equivalent
- Office Assistant Certification would be an asset, but is not a mandatory requirement
