Battlefords Transit System is seeking a motivated individual who possesses above
average organizational, leadership, public relations and communication skills. This position is accountable to the Transit Board.
Responsibility
Responsible for the long term interests of Battlefords Transit System's performance in relation to its objectives, goals and for the effective stewardship of financial and human resources Responsible to build and maintain professional relationships with the community, funders, clients and stakeholders

Duties:
Work as a team member with the organization, community and funders
Promote the goals and values of the organization
Monitor the performance of the organization in relation to its objectives or core values Prepare for and attend meetings, special meetings and general meetings requested by the Transit Board, funders and community
Keep and distribute minutes and communications as needed.
Prepare budgets and monitor performance in relation to it.
Submit budget and grant application when required.
Abide by and enforce policies and guidelines provided by the law, transit board, community and funders.
Ensure equipment is adequate and maintained
Establish, review and monitor policies that guide core operational practices. (e.g. Financial management, human resource management.)
Hire and release employees as required.
Perform employee evaluations
Keep required records, reports and forms
Keep informed about community issues relevant to the goals and objectives of the Transit Systems organization
