Description

Brandt is currently seeking an Automation Systems Manager. This position is responsible for managing a group of technical staff with responsibilities of schedule the activities of the department to meet the overall corporate requirements, and requires hands-on activities with automated equipment regarding the operations, programming, troubleshooting, commissioning and productivity of Robotic Welding systems and other automated and integrated equipment.



DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES



Lead a group of technical staff, giving necessary mentorship and feedback as required
Identify growth and training opportunities for staff development
Work to create a positive work environment within the department, as well as with other departments and external clients
Evaluation, selection, and commissioning of automated equipment
Program automated robotic welding systems with an emphasis on quality and reliability
Develop effective metrics to measure departmental performance
Identification of automation opportunities; make recommendations to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
Coordinate activities with other departments
Oversee the departments performance management, budget, and compensation to ensure compliance
Create necessary standards, policies and procedures for the automation department.
Maintain key training materials, documentation, and manuals as required.
