An employee in this temporary position will provide technical and/or research support within the Licensing & Water Use Data Unit, contributing to the overall understanding of groundwater in Saskatchewan and regulation of groundwater and surface water use. Typical duties and responsibilities may include:
Entering water well drillers reports into the wells database and entering water consumption data into the Community Water Consumption database.
Monitoring data entry for the water use and water level data received in 2020;
Reviewing and updating water rights files;
Entering data into excel spreadsheets and plotting data; and
Creating drillers reports for project files and linking them to the appropriate project file;
Applicants require knowledge of MS Office Suite, skill in written and verbal communications, and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. A high degree of independence and attention to detail is also needed. This is primarily an office position.
On occasion, work may require travel and absences from headquarters. Travel, sustenance, and accommodations will be provided when required to work away from headquarters.
Applicants should be enrolled in Saskatchewan Polytechnics Co-operative Education Program in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering Technology. Applicants will require a valid drivers license.
