An employee in this temporary student placement position will assist, in a first point of contact situation, with providing direct user support to both internal and external clients involving both software and hardware applications. In addition, this employee will assist with computer operations and hardware installation and maintenance.
Typical duties and responsibilities may include but not limited to:
Performing help desk activities, identifying and resolving hardware, software, and communications problems
Ensuring client requests are dealt with in an efficient and timely manner;
Assisting with installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware, operating systems, and applications software;
Assisting with operating and maintaining various communication devices and related software including monitoring the performance and capabilities of communication devices to ensure user needs are met; and
Assisting with research, evaluation, and implementation of hardware and software products.
Applicants must be a recent graduate or currently enrolled in or a minimum two-year post-secondary Computer Science or similar discipline program.
