The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) reports to the Chairman of the Governance House Board of Directors and the Governance House Board of Directors, represented by STCs seven Member Community Chiefs. The CEO will continuously promote First Nations' philosophy and STCs mission and values. The CEO will be responsible to successfully achieve STCs mission by leading the development and execution of the long-term strategies which progresses towards the accomplishment of consistent and timely goals. The CEO will be accountable for good stewardship, ensuring accountability of funds and assets, the effective use of systems, and the relevance of sound processes to guide the organization. The CEO will serve as Co-Chair of the HR and Performance Management Committee of all other STC Boards, plus ex-officio Board Member in Board Meetings of all other STC Boards. The CEO will be a transformational leader responsible for providing the overall leadership and management to STC staff. The CEO will have the strategic orientation to manage high profile and complex contractual, financial, resource issues, as well as possess the acumen necessary to balance policy priorities, corporate interests, and effective program delivery and services. The CEO will serve as the senior member of the management team and as a bridge between STC management, the Treaty Office and the STC Board of Directors.
Your Mission
- Participate with the STC Board of Directors in leading, developing and implementing a vision and strategic plan to guide the organization;
- Provide leadership in developing program, organizational and financial plans with the Board of Directors and STC management and accountability to implement plans and policies authorized by the board;
Education and Experience Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Commerce, Business, Public Administration or related field; MBA or MPA preferred.
