May consider hiring Graduate Nurses as casuals to a Graduate Nurse call-in list where after the 6 to 8 week orientation period Graduate Nurses will be offered work only when work has first been offered to RNs at regular rates of pay and the work or shift remains vacant and the nursing needs can be met by a Graduate Nurse, i.e. the Graduate Nurse is scheduled to work under the on-site supervision of a RN. Graduate Nurses will also participate in required nursing education. Graduate Nurses must be licensed with SRNA as a Graduate Nurse and work within a restricted scope of practice under the direct supervision of a RN. Graduate Nurses are employed and paid at the Graduate Nurse rate of pay as per the SAHO-SUN collective agreement. It shall be a condition of employment to obtain registration as a RN through SRNA within the first eight (8) months of employment to maintain employment as a casual Graduate Nurse.

The successful candidate shall be required to provide a satisfactory criminal record check including a vulnerable sector query as a condition of employment.
Part Time Employees: scheduled hours of work may be reduced during the rotation stipulated when a statutory holiday is recognized during that period.
